>Semi-automatic firing mode<
This script lets you toggle between the regular firing mode and a burst, which is calibrated for 2-shot bursts on the M16. Download the file here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1663872/m16_semi_auto.cfg
and put it into your Left 4 Dead CFG folder:
[STEAM DIR]\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left 4 dead\cfg
Then when you start playing, type the following into the console:
exec m16_semi_auto
Then you should be good to go. The default key for changing between firing modes is Mouse5. Please note that it remains active even when changing to other weapons / items, which won't work properly in "semi mode", so you'll always have to toggle to the regular fire mode for medkits etc to work. I'll write a newer version of the script which automatically disables 'semi-mode' when you change to medkits etc, if there's demand for it, so post in my comments! ;)
