Polliwog Publishing. Let’s make some comics.

Polliwog Publishing is a community project with the goal of producing original comic content. This group is designed to help organize the separate teams and assist in planning future projects. If you would like to contribute to Polliwog Publishing, read the different job descriptions and comment below with which job you would like to assist with. You are also not limited to helping out only one team, we encourage synthesis between the teams to better execute the final product.


Production Team – The Production Team’s primary goal is to imagine original story arcs, characters, settings, etc. For each new comic a Production Team meeting will be held via chat where all current members throw out ideas and come to a consensus on what direction the comic should be heading.


Writing Team – After receiving the story conceived by the Production Team, the Writing Team divides up the scenes to be written in script form. The Writing Team has free reign over dialogue and story boarding individual panels. Once all members complete their scenes a rough draft script is pieced together and each member receives a script to proof read and give feedback, then revisions occur until a final script is produced.


Drawing Team – This team’s task is to draw the panels as described by the writing team. A meeting is help by members of the Drawing Team and panels are assigned depending on the artist’s style. Artists have free reign to produce the panels using any method they wish, so long as the characters are consistent and follows the guidelines from the Writing Team.


Photoshop Team – The final metamorphosis of the comic, the Photoshop Team receives the final script from the Writing Team, and the panels from the Drawing Team, to piece together the story. After all the panels are in the correct order, speech bubbles must be added by the team. Font, Borders, and other factors are the Photoshop Team’s choice, but must be consistent throughout the issue.
