A very interesting game, I guess the best way I can describe it is Super Meat Boy with simple but satisfying combat that makes great use of the enviroment. At it's core, They Bleed Pixels is a very difficult platformer, with pixel perfect jumps needed at time. What sounds like a test in patience and frustration for some is eleviated by the very clever checkpoint system.

Instead of set checkpoints at certain areas the game awards you with a place-able checkpoint after you fill a bar up by either killing enemies in stylish ways are collecting orbs that award you score. The only strange thing about this system is to place a checkpoint you stand still, which can lead to sometimes placing a checkpoint on accident.

Combat in They Bleed Pixels is very simple, giving you a single button for attacks, dashes, kicks, etc. And while it does take a while to get used to the diceptivly simple control scheme it's not long before your kicking enemies into buzzsaws and dashing through obstacles.
