Very fun game. Is it worth $40? Maybe. Is it worth $8 that they are frequently putting it on sale for? Definitally.

Between the bugs, stiff animations, blatent rips from other games, and poor textures, it's amazing that this game eneded up to be one of my favorites of this year. Unless you can't get past it's shortcomings, dead island is one of the most fun games you can buy. Awesome weapon mods (ala dead rising) A variety of enemy types (ala left 4 dead) and a variety of subtly different weapons and unique weapons (ala borderlands) along with the pure enjoyment of being able to disarm a zombie (literally) make this game fun for a long time after you first beat it.
