For what Kenshi is, a freeform "do whatever you want" type of game, it does it well.
200+ hours and almost every time I boot it up I start anew, with a few new mods or modless, with new ideas on what to do, how to do or what I want.

One of these days I'll stick to one plan... maybe.

A nice little gem

A promising little gem, still rough around the edges but it's allready worth a look.

Best Mount & Blade.

I find the MMO part of the game worth playing. It can get a bit tedious at times, but so would any game where you build yourself up.

However, it does need more content and developement. It's a shame the devs have "abandoned" it and handed its future over to a small group of fans that only played the game for it's rather boring "ranked" game, wich lacks the open world, the mmo part, and the like.

So I might like the MMO part of the game, and recommend you try it, but you have to try it at your own risk as if the "fan devs" sole focus on Ranked play fails, the servers will close.

Casual yet hard. Kind of remind me of Cannonfodder, and I loved that thing.

A bit clunky, but worth the effort.

Mount and Blade'ish with guns, now even vehicles.
Still rough around the edges, but with a dev thats on fire with updates and fixes, this is quite good and keeps getting better.

So I watched a few youtubers play the demo, despite the "kiddy" gfx, this thing tickled my fancy.

6 missions in, me,as the commander of this crew and bomber is huddled in a corner with a bottle in hand, refusing to send them on another mission... The last one was bad, so very very bad. Half the crew got knocked out during the mission one way or the other, parts of my Northern Lass were dropped across Europe, engines, wheels, elevators, rudders, flaps.. Parts.

They made it back tho, but I'll be in my corner till this bottle is empty before I send my crew out again.


The game appears simple, and it kind of is, yet put in a hectic setting where you'll be challenged and have both "yay!!" and "Noooooooooo!!" moments.
There's only one bomber tho, the grand old Lancaster but I'm sure Runner Duck sees the light and will find ways to add more bombers to the game(update: Seems they have plans now).

All in all
Runner Duck really did a fine job on this one.


Edit: Also nice that there's some modding to the game, like being able to replace noseart files or even change the features of your crew with a simple edit of a file.

Half my colony joined a cult, the other half stopped working in despair, then got invaded by another Empire.
Would play again.
