I'd seen Minecraft and thought it wasn't for me, but this SNES era graphics game is good fun.
You just want to dig that little bit deeper or build that new extension to your home.
A worringly addictive game for solo and a genuine timesink for multiplayer fun.

For those of you who've played Civs 2, 3 or 4 and enjoyed the game/s then I'd recommend sticking with the series in its fifth instalment. Graphics changes, the move to an octagonal map, the limitations on units, and the importance of resources, all make this recent strategy jaunt something to play.
For those who enjoy strategy, but for some reason have been living under a rock and never given the Civ games a try, this is a good place the start. Civ 5's differences from its predecessors make it unique enough to be a starting platform into some turn based fun.
