The Medic had labored for so long, so hard to rip off the boy's skinny little legs. His eyes shot to the bonesaw hung back up on the rack, the Scout's blood still dripping from its toothed edge. The boy was dead, he had seen to that. He watched as the last glitter of life left his eyes. The boy was dead. DEAD.

How, then, was he here now? How did he leap about the room without legs, how did he cry out with a voice powered without a heart?

"This...it can't be..." groaned the Medic. "I killed you. I ENDED you! YOU CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! YOU CAN'T FRUSTRATE ME ANYMORE!"

The Scout was not bothered by his violent end in the least. He continued his cries, HEY DOC HEY DOC HEY DOC I'M A GHOST-

With a great bellow of rage, the Medic grabbed his saw and charged the spirit. It was far too fast for him. The Medic's swings found no purchase. Sick with rage, he chased the Scout through the dark halls of the base, all the way up to the roof.

DOC HEY DOC C'MON

The Medic thought he might die of shock: the Scout had at last stopped moving. He stood still as the corpse the doctor was sure he had made of him at the corner of the rooftop. The cold light of the moon filtered through him.

MEEEEEEEEDIIIIIIIIIIC

The Medic's eye twitched. He raised the bonesaw high over his head and charged the Scout. The blade passed uselessly through its insubstantial form, followed by its handle and finally by the Medic himself. The Scouts's taunting cries for his attention were the last thing he heard before his body was broken against the hard earth.
