Gorgeous graphics,with an excellent style. The combat is visceral, weighty, responsive and glorious. The story is top. The side quests are MEH, save for a handful.

This is a cinematic experience everyone should see. Dad of Boy is a gaming classic that will be used as the standard for singleplayer narrative games for years to come.

Excellent Ohio simulator, 9.2/10

Up Front Bottom Line:
Amazing atmosphere and solid mechanics made this a great play through. The soundscape is particularly great. It's short for now, and I can't wait for the next update and batch of content. The wife watched me stream. Wife approved.

My wife and I do not sail the seas of high adventure whilst blasting 'Valhalla Calling' - Miracle of sound, and slaying foul sea serpents trolls and Grey Dwarfs... That would be silly. We are most serious people. 🥸

I would say the game is 'Just OK', none of its mechanics are offensive and its an interesting story, but Sub-par sound design makes combat feel weightless and unsatisfying. It's honestly such a distraction that it drags down an otherwise competent ARPG.

To turn off Remnants: From the Main Menu -> Settings -> Network Settings -> Set Launch Settings to Offline Mode.
