King's College London is a British higher education institution and co-founding constituent college of the University of London. Founded by King George IV in 1829, its royal charter is predated only by those of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. King's has a strong academic reputation; in 2007 it was ranked 6th in the UK, 6th in Europe and 24th in the world by The Times Higher Education Supplement.
