Please, continue Half-Life 2 Deathmatch developement!
What we want:
1. Continue developing and patching HL2DM, like you do with Counter-Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 (but keep bunnyhopping, which is one of the gameplay's essentials).
2. Stop giving out free copies of the game for GPU's, because anticheats like VAC are useless for free-to-play multiplayer, as time has shown.
3. Create an official community group of this game.
HL2DM was suddenly abandoned (again) by developers in 2007 and had been stubbornly ignored since that time until 10.10 update which ported the game to Orange Box engine and made bunnyhopping less smooth, speedcrawling imposible, and brought new bugs with fixing very few old ones. The game still has a community (yes, it does! Look at Steam stats and HL2DMU). They are frustrated by low game quality and cheating pandemia though. Everybody here hates such state of things and the way Valve treats those of their customers, who don't belong to 95% of any kind.
To the members: don't be lazy and invite your playmates to the group, feel free to chat here. But please, no spamming like "it's useless... we've tried already". You do still play this game, right? -Right.
