This is a game that proves video games certainly are an art form rather than just a platform for entertainment. The visual styles, the music, the gameplay mechanics, everything ties together in a weird way that flows beautifully. I wish more people would look at this game and realize the same things as I do.

If crafting a story about the crew aboard the USS POS, commanding them through the best and worst of times and eventually watching the ship crack in two after that hull beam slices through the hull is your type of fun, then go out and buy FTL and buy the soundtrack. This is an excellent game and every time I have played it, I was frustrated by how cheap it sometimes is, but that's all part of the game. You are essentially trying to survive against all odds in a hostile area in space, trying to get back to the Federation. It's supposed to be very hard. But when I switched to Easy, it was pretty easy until you fight the Rebel Flagship, then the difficulty spikes so hard it has an overhang. I will say the USS POS shot first, and blew the Rebels to pieces before a fire ended up being too much and causing the ship to self-destruct.

A strange game, really. It reminds me of the SNES with plenty of Penny Arcade humor (As well as some cameos of PA characters). I enjoyed it and I think you guys would too.
