With the Wind, Changes Come!

It is a wise shogun who knows when the time has come to pass the Shogun’s Katana to another worthy warrior. This is the decision of 7Sam’s Bronson as he willingly hands the sword to Cool Breeze as the clan prepares for new battles and adventures in the land of the fallen samurai.

In every clan, great things are accomplished and yes mistakes are made but this is to be expected in a clan that boasts true international membership (at least 7 countries) and enjoys the skillful and enthusiastic participation of very competent and devoted players.

As clan leader, I Cool Breeze want to assure that we state our intentions and specifications as a clan so that those who oppose us in battle understand how we shall conduct ourselves. In 7SAM we work together as one with the intention of playing honorably to the bitter end no matter the outcome. Here are our rules.

First, we play within the confines of what the game allows. If a warrior can bring 10 units of one kind or another and the game permits, then that warrior can assemble units and elements in whatever combination he chooses and use them to their maximum effectiveness. The major intrigue of the game is to find a way to defeat creative tactics presented on the field of battle.

Second, we will refrain from boosting. This is a dishonorable practice and serves only to delight those who think that gaining a higher rank on the shogun ladder or having more map territories without earning real wins against honorable opponents is what this game is about. IT IS NOT! This game is about team play, practice, working together, earning respect and a win honorably because one team has better tactics and better game play.

Third, we will not plug pull. This is also a dishonorable practice. If our members wind up in the game setup lobby with capable opposition we will play it no matter what. We do acknowledge that sometimes internet connections and yes, steam drops games for no apparent reason. This is beyond anyone’s control especially when one 3v3 team is composed of 3 members who live on three different continents. If this occurs, our members will try to contact one of the opposition’s team members and try to reset the game so it can be played.

Fourth, we have instituted a process for becoming a member of 7SAM. To begin the process, you must friend Cool Breeze and announce your intention to become a member. You will be given an opportunity to state your experience and your reason for wanting to join. You will be asked to play a few games in Battle List with different 7SAM members so they can help decide if you should advance to the next stage of membership. We seek people who enjoy the game who have at least a good working knowledge of the tactics and most importantly, who have a good attitude and can be a team player. We have an expert and capable strategy, tactics and training group who can help bring your skills to new levels.
