The levels are classic stages re-imagined. You have both classic 2D Sonic and 3D sonic but the 3D level design is super fast, twitch reflex heavy and feels like part mind bending platformer where you have no opportunity to think head you simply have to feel the level and react and part rhythm game, and the 2D sections are every bit as good as anything from Sonic 1, 2 or 3 yet manage to feel both faster and more fluid.

On top of that is has challenge maps and leaderboards for speed runs.

Everything Total War should and can be. Its everything I wanted Empire to be and more. The game has so much spark, so much character, so much personality. The animations are beautiful, the combat flows perfectly, the overmap has depth and the generals and rulers, assassins, spys and geisha all of unique and fairly robust skill trees. I'm in love with Total War once more.

This game is equivalent to someone smuggling diamonds over the boarder by swallowing them and you are the one who has to fish around with your bare hands though a bucket of human feces to find them. There is absolutely no doubt that there is a gem inside waiting to be discovered but its going to be unpleasent finding it.

The game is rough. Getting it to run is an uphill battle but once you are in game killing zombies by yourself or with friends all of the bugs don't seem to matter anymore.

Despite everything, this is the most fun I have had with a game in a very long time.
