An equal say?

Our philosophy:
Every member of a clan should have an equal say, in what the clan does.

The focus of the Defenders of Democracy (DD) is not to maintain power, information, and respect in the hands of a few elite. But to share it with everyone as equally as we can. DD is based on the ideas of direct democracy. Direct democracy is a form of government where everyone has an equal say. I think that the people know what they need/want better than a few guys at the top.

Direct democracy -- comprises a form of democracy and theory of civics wherein sovereignty is lodged in the assembly of all citizens who choose to participate.

Direct democracies:
Share Power
Share Respect
Share Information freely

I have been in, and seen clans that either have only one person in charge or a small group. I believe that this is a flawed system. I think all such clans are forms of Despotism. Most clans that have this structure claim that they will let members have a say, a vote, or a veto. But it's simply a lie. The main focus of the leaders of despotisms is to keep control to themselves.

Despotism -- a form of government by a single authority, either an individual or tightly knit group, which rules with absolute political power.

If the description of Despotism above sounds like your clan, then be wary.

Despotisms:
Concentrate Power
Restrict Respect
Limit flow of information

I want this to not only be a clan but also a movement. Don't let yourselves be controlled by the few!

You decide!
Democracy or Despotism

Being in this group doesn't necessarily mean you're in the clan. Only administrators are in the clan, but being in the group means you're part of the movement.
