In terms of core mechanics, probably one of the better shooters to grace the genre. The game has fallen out of use in the past couple years, but there are a couple servers still active. Brutally unforgiving, this game makes a great compromise of realistic mechanics (i.e., guns actually shoot in a straight line with a little bit of deviation) with balance (A great way to handle shooting from the hip, without making the gun magically capable of firing at right angles). Rigid team structure and objective-based game play really enhances the experience, and there is absolutely no reliance on metadata such as leveling up or unlocks to try to keep people hooked. Rather, it relies on the ephemeral experience of just having fun, and does a better job at it than most AAA productions. Graphically, it's dated. It's also a little buggy. But it's fun. Really good at being fun. That's what you look for in a game. Also, free.

You pretty much summed up the game right there, well done!
