A Competitive EU Organisation
The Imperial are a European based eSports team that originally formed on 21-06-2008 as an Xbox 360 dedicated team. The team formed after the collapse of a previous major console team. The team established a strong management team of Chris “Mellow” Marsh, Mike “Expoze” Hallwood and Rich “Phaz” Lawlor and later on Oli “oLi” Adams. On 02-12-2008, The Imperial officially became a multi-format organisation with the addition of a PC manager, Oli, and the first of a number of PC teams. By the end of 2008, The Imperial had successfully run for six months, recording 1st place finishes at some of the biggest online and LAN events in the world including The World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Cologne, GameLand Rome: World Console Championships, Multiplay’s M-Festival, Matchbox 360’s XL, and MLG Gamebattles. On 16th March 2009, Mike “Expoze” Hallwood left the team because of personal commitments.
As an organisation, our vision is to one day be recognised amongst the best of the best. Our primary focus is to develop great rosters of talented gamers who can compete in major tournaments around the globe, while promoting eSports as a mainstream sporting activity and developing our brand.
