What a pain in the arse this game is.
What a big annoying fun pain in the arse it is.

Looks good, funny animation, but most of all a big ol pain the arse.
If I had the patience to get better at it it would be a delight but as it stands just a huge spikey pain in the arse.

This game is great, if you wanna feel like the stupidest person who has ever lived.
I spent fifteen minutes on the word TWIRL because all I had was the RL on the end.
I just sat there thinking 'there are no words that end with RL, this is impossible, the people who made this game messed up'
Another one that took an hour away from me was CRYPT.
Then it hit me TWIRL, CRYPT. I'll never get over it

Damn fine game.
For anyone, kids too young or for those of us who were there. Sitting on the floor in front of the old television tube playing through Turtles In Time. This game captures that spirit and updates it.
Mike Patton singing the theme as a bonus.

This game is small and repetitive, but in a soothing way. There is something romantic about the idea of running a gas station in the middle of nowhere.
It's buggy and it took me ages to figure out how to re-set the traffic when one car gets stuck on something outside the playable area resulting in a traffic jam you can't get to but at the time of writing they're still working on it.
Overall good game.

Well done for resisting the binge culture and creating a game that encourages you to step away every now and again.

This is tough, I struggled with the yes or no. The yes comes with a 'not for full price'. I think the people who made this game deserve some credit, the game looks and sounds great and amazing so well done to the look and sound department.
Special mention to whoever convinced Harry Dean Stanton to take part and record some dialogue. Getting the original Alien cast to take part is impressive even though the add on that features them is really short but again, the Nostromo looks perfect, I just spent time walking through it saying things like “Hey this is the Mother room” and “Hey those are the helmets from the opening shots”.
Can't say enough good things about the look and sound of the game.
But then there's the gameplay. The god awful, tedious, random, no strategy just go and hope the alien doesn't find you gameplay. No second chances if the alien sees you, that's it, you go back to a save point. Even if you've got a flamethrower or one of the crap things you can build that only buys you about two nano seconds before the xenomorph's lumbering down the corridors again. You have the ability to run but you can't because the bastard'll hear you and will come running like a fat man to a sandwich. I get what they were going for, immersion and fear, and it is scary, at first but then it just becomes annoying. The alien was just getting in the way of my enjoying the story. Headphones help because it's easier to hear that ♥♥♥♥ coming than using the motion sensor which gives away your position. I ended up turning the difficulty level right down just so I could progress the story at a decent pace and not smash my keyboard through my screen.
Again, worth a go just for the sound and look but the gameplay is well ♥♥♥♥.

Good game. Relaxing and stressful at the same time. One minute you're awe struck by the surroundings and working out what part of the Earth you're looking at from the funny angle, then you realise you're about to die from lack of oxygen. This is a tough situation for me as living is always a priority but what's the point of living if you're left with the annoying feeling of not being able to pinpoint your location above Earth. It's harder than you think.
Took me a while to get used to the controls and I've only played through once but in that play through I wasn't able to rush, just the opposite which got tedious, there was also a couple of times I couldn't work out where the game wanted me to go, but if you're lost it doesn't matter, just look around until you die, just like George Clooney.
