Game controls are janky, graphics are sub par, and performance is below average at best.

Not worth the money.

I paid $2.50 for this game and returned it. The game play is terrible. The ships have now weight to them. Flying is similar to ice skating. The performance compared to the graphics was poor. There are so many better space games out there. Not worth the download.

I play a lot of chess and am Club level good. This game is just aggravating to me because it does not allow me a pool of resources that dwindle as I use them. It is another RNG garbage game. If you make a Chess game and add RNG you should be punched in the crotch for fundamentally not understand what makes chess great.

This is not an open world game with choice. They slapped a bunch of rogue like aspects into it and that just makes the game a disparate mess.

TLDR: Great overall concept and art design that is poorly mathed out and mechanically limiting.

Game needs a lot more time in the oven. The deck building is horrible. The fact you lose momentum every time you move is just awful. It is one of the worst deck building games I have seen. Additionally the goals are poorly thought out. The replay is way too slow, I watched it once and never again. There are some real good ideas here but it just does not come together. If they improve the deck building the game would be much better but still not be balanced.

Movement is extremely penalized. A tactical game where you can only attack adjacently, not orthagnally, needs to allow movement as movement is a key part of game play.

There is too little control of your deck, and no control over your starting deck.

The money they give you is too low for the cost of upgrading cards, culling your deck, and getting new cards is too high.

The bonuses you can achieve are too small. I went to get buy more health and I got 2 more. My starting health is 40. Another 2 is waste. It did not even tell me how much health I was going to be purchasing.

Being able to program a game and have a slick art design in and of itself does not make one good a designing a deck building game. This game is proof of that. The developer(s) need to engage with some actual people who understand deck building and get some assistance. Also I don't mean the community. I mean look to some people who have made good deck building games in the past, and not just video games.

I might come back to this in a few months but right now it is a hard pass on purchasing the actual game for me.

The game is decent but it is extremely grindy to unlock everything. There is no reason for the grind either, it is a single player game. I would like to be able to play with all of the class options, ship options, and weapon options, but the amount of repetitive runs you have to do to get the unlocks is awful. I don't see the Dev ever coming in and fixing it, so I would say stay away. When I buy a game I want access to all the content. Locking a fast majority of it behind a boring grind is just an awful mechanic.

Terrible game. It has a great look but just an awful game. The combat is simple. There is no character building or creating. Everything is prebuild for you. All you do is select the attack to use and there is not really that much meaningful choice. You would be better off reading a comic, you get about the same amount of decision making and choice but you get through the story without the boring game play.

If you like any decision making, character building, strategy skip this. If you like auto battle games where you have to select the combat action and move around on a map go ahead a get it. This is a game for simpletons.

I bought and refunded the game on steam. I was having issues with saving the game and it would just lock up. I then went to the dev forums and reddit. It seemed like the issue may be related the Steam install. I downloaded the demo from the dev site and when I ran the install I was prompted to install a version of Net Framework. I played the Demo for a few days and had no issues with saving the game.

This leads me to believe that the steam install is not working correctly. I would highly recommend if you are to get the game buy it from the Devs site. The steam install package seems to be the root of the save file issue. You might not run into it if you have the required software already installed but the steam install does not appear to check the prereqs for what should be installed on your system to have a functioning game.

This is just my experience. If you do research on your own you will see there are multiple who have the saving game issue and they almost all are on Steam. I have yet to find someone online who had the problem who did not use the steam copy. Also I have yet to find someone online who used the dev site copy that has had saving game issue.

Now to the game. Honestly, after messing with the demo for a few days I had my fill of the game. The college recruiting was really not that fun. Developing your players is not very dynamic and you never really feel like you have all that much control over what is happening in the game. It really felt like I was just going through the motions. For the most part I could tell who I had a chance at recruiting pretty early and I had limited flexibility in what I could run on offense and on defense. I didn't feel like there were that many options actually available to me.

Yes I was able to properly evaluate my best chance to win and outperform my talent by min/max my strategy, tailoring to their strengths. The thing is there was really only one way for me to set it up without horrible results. Once I found the right balance it was just roll with it. Once I found the 2 recruits who would sign with me it was just roll with it.

I would like a little more choice. Maybe if I would have selected a bit school it would have been better. I picked lower end schools in the couple of seasons I ran. They all felt samey.

I don't see this game having staying power unless you do an online game with friends. That might make it interesting enough. All games are better with friends so I don't see how that is really a recommendation of this game.

I really wanted to like this game. There is just not a game here. This is a space ship building simulator. That is the one thing it does well. The problem is once you have taken your little starting ship and mined a bunch and built your ship there is nothing fun to do.

The flying in this game is just not fun and it stems from the lack of a good perspective. You can either have 3rd person view, but it is a poorly placed camera that is basically right behind your ship. It makes it hard to see what is in front of you and puts the ships rocket right in your face. The other option is to have your eyes right on the front of the ship. This game seriously needs a cockpit mode. Neither one of the view choices are conducive to enjoyable combat in a flight sim. The flight being so bad makes all of the game loops outside of build just not very fun.

If you are looking are primarily into mining, trading and building ships, possibly getting repetitive stress disorder in the process, this is the game for you. If you want to have even a minimum level of flight enjoyment look elsewhere.
