Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.

The early 1940's, man is peering upon the screen of one of the earliest computers. The data being processed, the numbers appearing; this was truly a revolutionary machine. Suddenly, something shatters their blissful daze of technological wonder. A speck, a dot, a pimple on the face of glory, a... Dead Pixel. Something so small and insignificant, yet so damned annoying. The first of those to see this imperfection held a conference, but they ended up getting off subject and nothing was really accomplished on the matter of the dead pixel they saw. They did, however, decide to form an organization, a secret society; An elite computer based community of the most experienced. They called themselves… Dead Pixels.

As it turned out, it was all a lie. Very shocking for everyone involved no doubt. Though, considering they were a work of fiction, they found their peace with it. Except one... but I killed him off.

The real story is a group of Internet friends came together and decided to make a community based on the simple concept that games are meant to be enjoyed. Laid back but competitive gameplay, an easygoing user base, and where having a laugh is better than getting that headshot, but hey, shoot him anyway.
