Early Access Review
In early access at the time of this writing.....visually and thematically it's both fairly unique and impressive. Not much in the way of action, most of the enjoyment comes from discovery and crafting your airship.

Active developers that seem to listen to feedback make this a treat to play so far.

It's free (at least right now). Spent a bit of time grinding early game which extended my playtime, still finished it in 4 hours.

Still fun though! You pilot a mining machine down through the earth, drilling veins and pockets of minerals to upgrade your machine. You have a couple statistic bars filling or depleting, which dictates the amount of time you can spend (fuel, drill hardness/sharpness?/inventory space) on each run. You can return to base for nothing at any time, though most of the game it has you starting back at the surface layer. The map is static, your tunnels and mined material remains. There's a few pickups and treasures you can dig up here and there.

The story is very basic and the game does end suddenly. And there are some typos in both the menus and dialogue, but I'll chalk that up to the devs not being a native english speaker and it being a VERY small studio.

It was nice that it was free, but I would gladly have paid 5-10 bucks for it. There's far worse on the steam store that offer less game for more money. And if it was developed quite a bit more, it would have been a good buy at the 20-40 $ range.

It has a few bugs like mod slots on your equipment getting greyed out, and graphics-wise it's pretty crude. But that's the style they were going for.

I first bought this on launch. And yes, it was a buggy mess. Despite that and the plethora of glitches, i still found it technically impressive and fairly enjoyable. I put it down after one playthrough and decided to come back to it later. Some parts were notably broken or incomplete. Examples follow.

Broken: Try driving a vehicle offroad through the landfill area in 1.0. You won't make it, you'll explode and die from nothing particular after a short while. And the floating trashbags will kill your frames and eyes.

Incomplete: The lake area around the hydro dam. Had Judy's diving suit in a small building which you could not unequip after wearing it, and the underwater area had nothing. Just empty buildings in the water. Clearly something was planned there and just was not finished.

Three years later....

This; at 2.0, is what should have been released and would have had minimal complaints and overwhelmingly positive feedback and reviews. The skill system was reworked, and paired with a experience based perk system (perform headshots to level one area, hack machines for another area) to encourage using multiple weapons and tactics....or to specialize for much higher rewards. The cyberware system was expanded and reworked, with more items and cyberware limits.....armor was moved from wearables to this system so you weren't forced to wear whatever you picked up with the best stats. Consumables and grenades were altered. Crafting was simplified and fixed to be easier to use. Vehicle driving got a MASSIVE rework, and is now actually enjoyable rather than being a clunky struggle to drive (and armed vehicles are now a thing). They've added multiple apartments you can base from, a transit system you can ride rather than fast travelling.....

I could go on for multiple paragraphs at this point, on what else has had major changes and reworks. But the essence of this is just one statment.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now a good game that most people will enjoy, and what CD Projekt Red wanted to make.

It's bad.

Snail Games (a chinese company), bought Wildcard. The makers of Ark. They promptly spun two games off the existing content, a voxel-based game (this) and Dark&Light(a more fantasy-oriented version of Ark).

Problem is, they just copied the content wholesale. There was very little creativity involved, not much in the way of localization, and inadequate understanding of what they had. Most console commands from Ark work in BOTH of the mentioned games, as an example.

Buggy content, very poor localization (again, read BAD ENGRISH, see the achivements on Pixark as an example), little to zero support and bug fixes, just more adding on of broken content on top of broken content. The automation stuff they put on is what I'm referring to. Nice to add more things, but you'd think they might fix the base game first? Nah.

The game is really unbalanced. Most creatures are stat-classed. That is, your raptor or trike will only ever be good against creatures in it's size/area class. It'll lose very quickly against anything larger, or from a more advanced game area. There's no end of issues with creatures spawning inside bases, and no way to block that. A lot of stuff seems to be cosmetic only and is functionally useless.

Bought it, regret it. I remember complaining about the bad english in the achivements, on the forums, having THAT noticed by a Dev and commented on, with the promise of it being fixed 'real soon'. Shame. I wanted to like this.

Fishing/horror seems to be an odd combination. But it works. Did most of the pursuits, got every fish species (not every abberation). Definite lovecraftian influences, you never know what slimy/toothed/tentacled horror you might catch, instead of a simple tuna or mackerel.

Positives: Great atmospheric game, fun, and still a bit spooky at times. Simple mechanics. Fishing is fun!

Negatives: Minor gameplay mechanics can be annoying. Certain pursuits are timed....but you'll never know unless you wait long enough...losing stuff overboard can range from mild irritation to possibly gamebreaking. I hear you can lose key items overboard. Never had it happen, but then I was playing it safe most of the time.

What I'd like to see: More content, more fish....bug fixes. Overall I can recommend this. You'll get your money's worth, and it's a relatively inexpensive game. Support the devs!

Early Access Review
Much like the original forest, graphics are much improved. The building system is pretty interesting but needs more work. Less blueprints and such than the first game, but it is early access. And yeah, it can be pretty buggy at places. SO FAR, with what they did.....I like it. And it's sure to get better with updates.

This game had a lot of promise. Bought it pretty early on, stopped when I ran out of content. At some point there was a change of developers or something and the game was basically re-written, a lot of stuff in the early game no longer exists (like vehicle garage, multi-story bases, some kind of boss that was in the mines is no longer there though the area itself still is). And now it's been pushed out as 1.0. It's buggy as hell, grindy and boring now.

For example, the main enemy in the same is Snubs larvae. Big bugs that attack every night. They get stuck on everything, and do not retreat or despawn. And watching the store trailer vids.....i swear a lot of the stuff they're showing doesn't exist in game anymore.

Sorry. This game is garbage. And not even hot garbage, this is old, cold trash. Don't buy it, I consider this abandonware. It's been put out the door in a CLEARLY UNFINISHED STATE.

Lightpaced, fun game. Oxygen is the only main consideration. Well, that and getting lost, roaming for hours and trying to find your base again. Or getting lost underground, losing all your inventory and being unable to find it. But then, that's all operator error.

I've played it through several iterations in early access, and finished it shortly after full release. The cycle of finding resources, building a base or outpost, researching new tech then finding you need stuff from other planets is really quite fun. Even better with Co-op. Recommended, the only thing I dislike is the constant barrage of suit and helmet skins for real money. A minor complaint, you never have to buy anything and it is updated often.

Early Access Review
First off, I have about +150 hours on this from what steam said. I bought this on the epic game store first as it was only available there, then later on steam because I prefer that. I ran through all the available content and then put it aside to wait for updates (this was around the end of update 3).

Factory creation game. Like Factorio, but fully 3d. Has great environments, enemies, hidden areas, items. This is a GREAT game. Easy to get started on, fairly gentle learning curve. Gets really complicated toward the end, and you can build as big or as small as you like. Might be a little rough on those with OCD, you can spend an immense amount of time building and optimizing factories and production lines. Very satisfying to play, was great in early access and will only get better.

A pretty cool game. I've played it in Early access (chapters 1-3) and just finished it now (chapters 4-6). Heavy on humor and sarcasm, looks really good visually and has quite chill music. The early parts can be compared to subnautica, especially constantly running out of materials and oxygen. The latter half, not so much.

Chapters 1-3 are all about sandbox exploration, getting tools and equipment built up, maybe building a little base somewhere. Chapters 4-6 are fairly linear and run you from goal to goal, with occasional crafting required and an overabundance of resources.

I liked this game, was well worth playing and a treat overall.
