PC Gamer - Public
The world's best PC Gaming magazine and website.
If you want to join our most awesome chat (which you most certainly should do), we do have a few ground rules:
- Keep the chat civil. Lighthearted banter is fine, but don't act like a dick.
- Racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic language is not allowed.
- Discussing games is cool, but don't give away massive plot spoilers for new games.
- Don't promote piracy in any way. That means no download links, or asking for links to be PMed.
- Please don't ask for gifts or game/item trades in chat.
- Please don't put weapon/ item images in chat
- Don't deliberately misinterpret the rules for trolling purposes or smart-assery.
Furthermore, we request that you act like an adult when you enter the chat. That is to say that you should say hello and join in discussions politely. Do not:
- Enter chat to advertise your latest MW3 montage (or similar links)
- Enter chat and spam nonsense in order to appear quirky
- Enter chat and demand to be made an admin
And so on. This is all pretty straightforward, just be nice.
We'll usually kick on a first offence and temp ban on a second offence. If you need unbanning after a temp ban, get in touch with an admin.
We will also permaban you if:
- You're a spammer or someone phishing for account details
- You repeatedly break the rules
- You return with an alt account to avoid a previous ban

I am a big fan of Batman, the cartoons, comics etc... So, I was really happy to play the game before this Arkham Asylm. The current game Arkham City is similar but different. This game is more open then the previous corridors of Asylm. The fighting still looks and feels great and there is the addition of other player characters like Catwoman. I really enjoy seeing all the Batman villians come to life.
The main downside of this game for me is the software having the SecureRom DRM protection. Not only to you have to register the game online before playing it, you also have to remain connected online while you play. This is in addition to the annoying Games for Windows account you must have to play the game as well. So, great game.... just need less hurdles to get into the actual game.
Single player presents a much more streamlined and easy access format then Empire Total War. Again the battles are a highlight for me, but the sea battles still leave something to be desired. Ships seem to loss moral too quickly and surrender very quickly. Agents are all easy to understand and use. Multiplayer is very different, but interesting. I like the idea of gaining armour sets and experience for your avatar. However, finding a variety of battles in multiplayer is difficult. It seams most players want to only player 1 on 1 battles or team battles. Few sieges or sea battles. And sometimes it can be hard to find a match with players of the same skill level. I have been mauled many times at the beginning because I as a level 1 player faced off against level 10 players. Overall, great game that makes me want to keep playing one more season.
This game is very addictive. Single player offers wide open gameplay and multiplayer has a good community with new maps coming out.
