As for not using the word "betrothed", chalk that down, again, to the Australian English. We simply don't use the word betrothed very much over here. It is much more common just to refer to one's partner as a lover. As such, the word simply didn't occur to me.
Again, thank you for your review -- many have said the characters are the strong point of this game (I'm a professional novelist and this is the area where I focused most of my attention), but the game certainly may not be to everyone's taste :)
The two biggest problems with the game are that you used the default RTP, which doesn't allow the game to stand out visually, because it looks like every other game made with RPG Maker VX, or VX ACE. The second problem is the dialogue is weak. It's just not engaging and doesn't show me who these characters are. Why does Lionel keep referring to the woman he is going to marry as his lover? Why doesn't he refer to her as his betrothed? Show the player what kind of person the character is and where he, or she comes from through their diction. This is what I mean when I say the game world and characters lack character.
I'm not sure why it's showing me as having played for only 30 min, because I played for an hour. Regardless, I don't need to play a game for hours on end to determine if I think it's bad. I feel Legionwood 2 is bad.
Also, with 0.5 hours on record, wouldn't it be a bit premature to say the characters are uninteresting and the world is lifeless? You're only 30 minutes into the game... you haven't even reached the end of the tutorial.
