After nearly 3 years of online CSS I must say my faith in people is sorely shaken.



After trying to hold my own for a long now I have seen a disturbing level of corruption in the css community. I refer of course to the all too familiar scourge of hackers. I have come across far too many people who seem to have little or no conscience and have exhausted my anger upon them. I have called many people cheaters, too many probably as this jaded player has taken to such namecalling as second nature. I have a scorned a few who did not deserve it and for that I am regretful. But more than that I am bitter, having had my efforts and common trust eroded and trampled upon by those who care more about a higher number than an honest game.



What can you do against this tide of ill-will and immaturity that manages never to listen to reason. I've reasoned, argued and cursed them to little avail. Only to see many more cheaters pass through the servers that I frequent. I long ago gave up hope that it was a phase that would pass, long ago gave up hope that these people might grow up. I've even finally accepted that this is no longer a game worth playing and I do leave for long periods. But inevitably I always end up coming back, only to renew a cycle of dissappoitment and frustration.



Perhaps I will give up the game completely sometime, but I leave with the unfortunate truth that there are a lot of people who live not far at all from me ... who have no honesty in them, no truth. And that these people will soon be active members of society.
