Enter the Lifestream...

In the flash of a second, you turn around to find her right in front of you. Her nose is five inches from your face; under it is an evil little smile. You feel something warm trickle down your stomach.

You dare not look down, but merely fall to your knees, once again. The dagger drops slowly from your hand.

She brings up her knee into your face, sending blood spurting from your nose. Time begins to slow as you soar through the air. Your lover's face enters your mind suddenly.

You feel a warm sensation overcoming your body.

"The blood?" you think to yourself.

But it is not blood, it is your fate. Your vision suddenly becomes blurred. Once it focuses, you realize that a small wall of water now enveloped your body. You seemed to be falling a little bit further than you should have.

You look up and see her face grinning triumphantly down at you.

"Ha, just like ..." but you could not hear the rest.

It begins to seem like you shall fall for the rest of eternity, though this never-ending pit of sand. You still can see the small figure of the woman that just brought about your end. Another warm sensation enters you, this time, in the body of someone's voice. You now bring to mind those words which you had blocked out earlier, the dying words of your lover:

"Continue to fight and you shall only receive pain. As I now die, your time will come as well. You, too, shall return to the Lifestream."

After hours and hours of sifting through the darkest waters you've ever seen, you see a small light. As you near it, it turns just a little bit.

It turns and faces you, bright and shining. Its golden hair floating in the abyss. It extends its arm out to you, the flawless hand open and warm. It's too much to resist, so you slowly reach out to grab the hand. The hand closes around yours, and you immediately feel like someone has placed a warm blanket all around you. Seemingly coming from the hand, light bursts out, making the water disappear. You cover your eyes to keep from being blinded.

When you put your arm down, it's gone.

"You've returned," a dreamy voice said.

You turn and see ...

"Yes, it's me, darling."

You embrace this person, whom you've been missing for so long. Then everything fades into nothing as you look into that gorgeous smile.


... You, too, shall return to the Lifestream.
