RDR2 is the first and only game I bought twice on different platforms (PS4 Pro and PC), and undoubtedly the singleplayer content I played for the most hours (over 300 hours without touching the multiplayer). This is because I love its open world and how it is built, a spectacular Wild West brought to light by the developers, where losing yourself just exploring nature is a real pleasure.

Story, characters, side activities and gameplay are solid as always when you consider this is a Rockstar game, even if their strict and cinematic bound mission structure could be innovated a bit. The real gem is the main character, Arthur Morgan, probably my favorite videogame protagonist of all time.

Technically everything is high tier, light simulation and music score on top of all. Character models maybe are not up to today's standards anymore, as this is a 2018/19 game, but everything else shines for attention to detail and simulation realism. To this day I think this is the best open world ever created, a game I highly recommend to everyone without reservation. 9/10!

This game surprised me with an elaborate and interesting tale of mysteries and gruesome killings across 60 years in the 16th century. No fancy graphics or sound effects but a unique take on puzzle and investigation games that will challenge you more and more as the story progresses, leaving you more than pleased about your cunning with each stage completed.

The main campaign clocks around 10 hours, while the 2 DLCs add another 6 hours on top of it and act as a prequel, revealing the origins of the Golden Idol myth. Maybe the last DLC is not as fluid as the previous one, or the main game, from a narrative and puzzle construction point of view, but I would suggest the purchase of the whole package anyway, because it is really good and I really enjoyed it.

Try the demo if aesthetically what you see is not good enough, because if you like adventure and puzzle games you'll change your mind and will take out the $$$ immediately. 8 out of 10 is my final verdict, recommended!

I've lost myself in Night City for almost two straight months, without playing anything else during this time. I've waited three years to buy and play Cyberpunk 2077, together with its expansion Phantom Liberty, and I think the long wait was fully rewarded. This is a really good game now, an action rpg with some of the best plots, characters and missions I had the opportunity to play in a long time. But I think the real main character here is the city itself: it is so detailed and well built that I lost hours just exploring every nook and and cranny, admiring in awe what CD Projekt RED was able to pull off from an atmosphere point of view, and also for how different every district feels compared to the others. I also loved the style and design of the characters, and how varied they are!

This game is really all about style, incredible graphics (played all time with path tracing activated, omg) and sound, good combat and shooter mechanics and finally an interesting and engaging plot. As often happens with this developer, some secondary missions are even better and more compelling than the main ones. Keep in mind that this is a shooter with some rpg features: there is a bit of character customization (powers + clothes) and choices matter and take the player even to different endings, but don't expect complete freedom and incredibly deep rpg mechanics. In fact, as you power up your character, the game tends to become easier and easier as you progress, so much that by the end you will destroy every single enemy, or group of enemies, in a matter of seconds, so that the game becomes a rather stylish shooting gallery of corpses and cyber implants flying everywhere. This is why I would suggest to play Cyberpunk 2077 in hard mode like I did, at the least!

Cyberpunk 2077 is not perfect, it still has some bugs, nothing game breaking, and some instances where dialogues or random events around the city are repeated the same way every time I walk by or drive by a certain street or location. This unfortunately breaks the immersion and reminds the player how in reality everything in the city is artificial and not natural. This is why I don't think Cyberpunk 2077 reaches the highs of Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3 after that, but it places itself easily on the third spot of my personal open world favorites podium, together with GTA 5.

125 hours of gameplay and 250 quests completed are there to testify how much I loved this game. And I'm not finished because I still have some secondary fluff to complete, and I want to see everything in this game! CP 2077 is a very good redeem story, an example on how to not release a game but also on what you need to do to recover from a disastrous launch. I hope CD Projekt learned their lesson and that they will take their time with The Witcher 4 and Cyperpunk 2, because when they don't rush a release they are indeed one of the best open world and rich story games developers on the market right now. See you in Night City chooms!

Mimimi once again demonstrate how they are the masters of this kind of games. Through all their titles they took the old Commandos formula and elevated and perfected it towards new heights. Shadow Gambit is a very good evolution of what they did with their previous title, Desperados 3, although I don't think it overtakes that western masterpiece. While the new setting and characters are really inspired and well crafted, there are not many maps available and not all of the characters are so unique from a gameplay point of view. It is true that there is more freedom in how and when and with who you can approach the missions, but in the end I think I would have preferred a more linear and focused experience, rather than returning many times to the same locations, often tackling the same enemies, which are always in the same position following the same routines.

At this point it would seem I didn't like Shadow Gambit, but that is not true. I still think it is an excellent game, with very good graphics for this genre, big and detailed levels and an incredible soundtrack. If you love the genre there is also a lot of potential repeatability, as you can customize so many gameplay options. The story is ok and interesting, while the crew stories where a bit meh, as they are all played aboard the main ship thought dialogues, not that captivating.

While I still think Desperados 3 was better for some aspects, many of which are based on personal preferences, Shadow Gambit is undoubtedly a game I recommend unconditionally to all the fans of the genre, but also to new players interested in exploring this strategy niche. I will give it a very good 8 out of 10!

PS: now I would like Mimimi to go somewhere like WW2 or medieval times, thank you :)

PS2: as of today, November 22nd, the developers have also announced two new dlcs for the game, coming out on December. Please support them as much as possible, as they are going away forever unfortunately but maybe they will be able to find new funds or a big publisher to help them!

The Council is an investigation game with political and historical elements that by the end of the story becomes a religious and supernatural thriller. It is a really strange game to speak about, as I was really interested and captivated by its premise and by the first hours of gameplay, but from a certain point I started to feel a sense of confusion in its storytelling, with a lot of different elements thrown in that didn't help me fully understand some plot points at all. Some characters are interesting but unfortunately I did not like the protagonist at all, so that by the end I was not that much interested in his destiny or in his motivations, at all.

The game lets you choose different paths in specific points of the story, and that can lead to very different events or even endings. It is not a difficult game, the few puzzles are rather easy to solve, it is more a game about the interrogations and the discovery of each character's real motivations and objectives, something that reminds me of an LA Noire type of game set in a smaller environment. The more you spy the other characters and explore each location, the more The Council rewards you with deep insights on the lore. There was a lot of research from the developers, so kudos to them on that aspect.

Unfortunately from a technical point of view The Council is not impressive at all. Locations are rather detailed but the lips syncing and the general optimization are really bad. Also textures and models are not incredible to look at. Let's say that by looking at the screenshots I was expecting something better.

In any case, I did not hate the game, I would still recommend The Council to history buffs with an interest in conspiracies and detective stories. It's a 6/10 for me, a game on a thin thread between a decent rating and a bad failure.

Tell Me Why is more an interactive TV series than a real adventure game with puzzles and inventory management. It is very similar in structure to previous Dontnod games like Life Is Strange, so be prepared if you didn't like that one. And TMW is also shorter, easier and much more slower in its pacing. Is it bad then? Not at all, I really liked the story and characters, how every location was really well built and characterized, the excellent audio and music, but above all I appreciated how the developer managed to deal with some sensitive and divisive matters without constantly throwing them in your face. The game is not all about inclusivity, there's also an interesting mistery to solve and I found myself more interested as the game progressed towards its ending.

It is not a game for everyone that's for sure, but if you are searching for 10 hours of good story telling in an unusual setting (Alaska), with a little bit of supernatural flavor, without having to deal with abstruse puzzles, TMW is indeed the right choice. A 7.5 out of 10 in my book!

This second chapter of the Orwell series is very similar to its predecessor, so that the game mechanics are exactly the same, apart some minor changes and additions. This does not mean the game is bad, in fact if you liked the first chapter you'll probably also like this one, just don't expect anything new apart the story and the characters. Speaking of which, the two plots run parallel one to the other, so I would suggest anyone to play the first game before launching this one.

In the end if you like spy stories, puzzle games based on detective work and hacking simulators that give you unlimited power in spying over the country and its population, this is indeed a game I can suggest to anybody interested. Keep in mind that the first game is still better from a story point of view imho, but if you came here after playing that one wanting more of it, this is a fine addition indeed. A rather good 6.5 out of 10 for me.

Unavowed is a good adventure game with nice pixelart graphics and an interesting setting, with some unexpected twists in its story and also the option to play as different characters from the start. This makes the game easily replayable if you are curious to look at the events from different angles. There are also four different endings, which is not common in this kind of games, so that's a plus. This is not an heavily object-puzzle based adventure, locations are not massive and usually you can proceed quite easily just through dialogue. Unavowed is not a difficult game, it can be completed in 6-7 hours, but overall I think the ride deserves its ticket cost.

A good story plus quite interesting and very well written characters, this genre doesn't really need anything more. And Unavowed is indeed the best game Wadjet Eye developed up to this day, a good 7.5 for me!

A 9 years old action game that takes place in a bombastic and not that realistic Ancient Rome setting, with good graphics, very good voice acting and a really excellent musical score. The gameplay after a few hours becomes a bit stale, there are not that many attack moves and combos, and enemy variations are just a few. You'll finish the main campaign in about 6-7 hours and I think that's enough, the story is not incredible and as I said it becomes boring really fast so the length is about right imho. The best part of the game are the cinematic cuts given to some action sequences and the undeniable satisfaction that some finishing combos give to the player.

A simple game for some headless fun that now costs just a few bucks when discounted. I can recommend it at these conditions, a 6.5 out of 10 overall.

KCD is a massive story driven medieval rpg, a real simulation more than an action game, a bit clunky and buggy in some aspects, but also very deep and thoroughly researched in others. It is a rough diamond, with great quests and characters, enriched by a detailed and interesting world, but also weighted down by a bad and not intuitive combat system, together with some boring and not so fun mechanics.

It took me 50 hours to just barely manage hand-to-hand combat, and after finishing the game I'm still not sure I would be able to survive to encounters with multiple enemies at once. In some cases I intentionally avoided combat, not to mention how archery is absolutely a pain in the a** to manage. Luckily all the stories and characters are very well written and they keep you playing throughout the main campaign, the side quests but also some very good DLCs. Honestly I found some of these better than the main game ones, so I recommend you to buy the Royal Edition and not just the base game.

Good graphics and sound, but also a great themed soundtrack, are the icing on the cake for KDC, a game created with love and care for rpgs and history, this is clear to me, that needs to refine some of its mechanics in the sequel in order to become a milestone in its genre. A solid 7 out of 10 is my final verdict, recommended if you like medieval history and if you have a lot of patience and perseverance, you'll not be disappointed!
