Um, it’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HALO, the franchise that launched the XBox. Six AAA console games, two of them remastered. The campaigns still hold up very well. There’s at least 100 hours of solo or co-op gameplay here. Very worth the $30 list price, or wait for it to go on sale for $16.

Played the demo for an hour, then bought the full version. (I almost never buy games at launch.)

Reminds me of my favorite StarCraft level where you have to build and defend your base for half an hour while waiting for evac before a massive zerg swarm hits. No time limits here; the swarms just get bigger and more varied.

Helluva fun game.

Would be nice if it just had a "Join Random Online Game" button instead of a list of open games.

Early Access Review
Lots of fun, but another game that is stuck in Early Access and will never leave. Loading screens are veeeeeeeeeeery slooooooooooow.

I was a big fan of the side-scrolling puzzle games, Trine and Trine 2. Trine 3 is more of the same, but with a 3D aspect. Also, this is still a side-scroller; you can't change the camera angle.

Great game, hella fun if you liked the first two games.

Fun puzzle game. It's very short; took me about three hours to finish.

There is a LOT of reading, about 90% of which I ignored. If I play it through a second time, I'll try to get a higher score which would require reading.

I hope they are working on a Gunpopint 2, as there's a lot of great ideas here that could be expanded upon.

Excellent concept.

Too bad the actual gameplay is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrible. For example, it's very cool when you pick up a contain to throw at your enemies. It feels weird that you have to specify a direction to throw it. And it's downright frustrating when that container goes flying off in a direction you did not intend.

Movement is jerky, force controls uneven, and in general it just feels like an unfinished game.

I can't recommend this game at any price.

The first game was ground-breaking; a true classic. I've logged countless hours and beat it many times.

XCOM 2 improves on the first game in every way imaginable. Unfortunately, this game is only for the hardcore players of the first game. People who are new to XCOM would likely be put off by the difficulty of this one, even when set to the lowest difficulty.

You may find yourself doing the quicksave/quickload quite often. That's a very unsatisfying way to play a game.

If I had known how hard it was, I would not have spent the money.

It's Quake as a 2D platformer, complete with Quake sound effects.

It's bloody great.
