This game is amazing with Knights and Merchants Remake mod. The KaM Remake improves all the clunkiness of the game. Units respond better and more accurately to commands. Time acceleration is a HUGE bonus. A map can be completed easily in under 2 hours with time acceleration. The game runs slow by default, but pressing F6 to F8 will accelerate the time. I recommend setting the F6 key to x2 speed(default is x3) in the Kam_Remake_Settings file in the folder for KaM Remake, not the steam library location.
