Ghost Soldiers is pretty much a group laid back individuals who’s deep into tactical gaming, squad based game play and most of all keeping the spirit of camaraderie and pure fun out there in the battlefield. We are currently active in the game Insurgency:Modern Infantry Combat a total conversion or modification using Valve Software's Source Engine (the game engine that runs Half Life 2). This clan was created in memory of all the men who risked their lives on one of WWII’s most epical yet virtually forgotten events. On January 28, 1945, 121 hand-selected troops from the elite U.S. Army 6th Ranger Battalion together with some Filipino guerillas slipped behind the enemy lines in the Philippines. Their mission: March thirty miles in a bold attempt to rescue 513 American and British POW's - the last remaining survivors of the Bataan death march - who had spent three years in a hellish camp near the city of Cabanatuan. Known to just a few as The Great Raid - the most daring but yet the most successful rescue attempt ever in the history of U.S. military - up against 7,000 Japanese troops The Ghost Soldiers tactically slipped their way in and out of the POW camp with in 20 minutes with no or so little casualties... War photographer Carl Mydans said in Life magazine: "It is now American history and every child of coming generations will know of the 6th Rangers Battalion, for a prouder story that has not been written."
