Thanks for deleting all the objectionable content! As a grown man I have no idea how to decide what media is or isn't obscene. Fortunately a bunch of Helen Lovejoy's with social justice degrees are there to make those decisions for me, what a relief! I especially like that they changed it so that I can't get an older version of the game with all the original content included. After all, if it was possible to do that I would still have the ability to make the objectively wrong decision to play the game in its original form. Which could cause harm, or like, racism or something. I'm much more comfortable knowing that the product I paid money for is no longer available, and definitely don't want a refund.

Dark Souls is one of the greatest video games of all time. However the PC release of Dark Souls was one of the worst ports of all time. It's actually legendary, they didn't even do anything about the mouse cursor. There was a big white mouse cursor on the screen during gameplay! I got banned from my own game by GFWL because I installed DSFIX (a free mod that fixes the issues FS said it would be "too hard for them to fix"). They actually DMCA'd Durante (the guy who made the mod) for fixing their broken game for their customers for free! I ended up losing 100 hours of progress on my save file, was
banned from my own game that I paid for, and forced to wait until Microsoft scrapped GFWL completely to start a new save file. With this release From Software has continued to show the absolute disdain they have for their die hard PC fanbase. I paid $25 for this during a 50% off sale, and what do I get? A game I already own, with basic fixes to problems that should have been patched SEVEN YEARS AGO! WHY DO YOU HATE US FROM SOFTWARE?!?!?!?!?! WHAT DID US PC CUSTOMERS DO TO MAKE YOU HATE US!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I love this game, but this travesty deserves a 0 rating because of the execution. The original PC port of this game, as well as the "Prepare to Die" edition of this game were released in a near unplayable state. They didn't even remove the mouse cursor from the screen! The only way to get this game to run in baseline functionality is to install the DSFIX mod. However if you're like me DSFIX created a conflict with GFWL and locked me out of my own game near the crystal caverns. This meant I lost my save file, and could not start a new one making the game literally unplayable. This was fixed roughly two years later when Microsoft pulled support for GFWL and the DRM finally allowed me back into my own game. From software has now released the game with the features that have been available for SEVEN YEARS in DSFIX, and are charging forty American dollars for it. I can not imagine more shameless disrespect for loyal customers than what I've seen in the computing and gaming industries over the last ten years. I hope all the worst things in life happen to the people at Microsoft and From software.

Firstly let me say that at it's core this is a great game, and I enjoyed playing it. However the updates and patches have actually made this game much worse. The effectiveness of stealth play has been reduced dramatically, and it was the best part of the game. The enemies at higher levels are bullet sponges who take ridiculous amounts of ammo to kill, so loud heists are way less fun than stealth.

To make matters worse, in a recent update the company added microtransactions. When the player-base responded negatively, they heavily censored their forums in an attempt to squash the complaints.

Shameful display! Uninstalled!

Not happy with the way it was released.
It was not sold as half a game.
It's a pretty good game, but $30 is a lot fo money for a 4 hour game.
Hopefully act 2 is longer. Maybe once ths game is fully released I can change my review.
Should have been sold as early access, but frankly I wouldn't want to help Double Fine finance anything considering how they've been treating their kickstarter backers.
