The first computer game I ever played was Star Trek on a corporate mainframe in 1979 (thanks Mike).
The first PC computer game I ever played was on my first computer, a DOS operated IBM 8088, in 1987. It was, of course, a text based game about a vampire. I still have that floppy disk.
Does anyone remember The ImagiNation Network that was run and created by Sierra games and was online (dialup modems only in those days) from 1991-1996? I was the first member from Kentucky and my name was Heywood.
BTW, for fans of Portal, here's a funny video: http://technology.todaysbigthing.com/2008/09/16
