I consider myself to be a "Retro-Technologist", meaning that I still have functional classic computer. I have a Commodore 64/128, and my copy of Archon still works on it. I bought this game, and the classic mode is pretty much perfectly done. I have done side-by-side comparisons, and can notice no flaws in the Classic verion. Even that is well worth the $9.99 price tag! Add to that, the updated version, and you're really getting a bargain at that price.

Needs online and the game would be perfect. In person online gaming doesn't happen much anymore. Especially when everyone goes away for school and moves away from their friends.

So you have one of those new-fangled Commodore 64's. I have a SR-33 I hope to get working again. Aside from that, the C64 was a ripoff of the Atari 800 which I have as well.

Actually... I think it's cool you still have a C64 running... I'm just sort of teasing you because I was obviously using computers before you, probably just because I'm older. :steamhappy: (I'm currently 58 yrs old as started typing gribberish into IBM punch-card writers when I was around 4.)

I really liked Archon the Atari, which was obvioulsy the same as C64 for the reason I mentioned above. Annoying thing though was a friend was so good with one piece (I think it was the Phoenix that he could win any game even if that was only piece he had left vs. a large army.)
