Before you scream hacks...

So the other day some genius decided that I was hacking and decided to ragequit the game and pulled 2 of his teammates with him.

This, I find extremly amusing. I have not used a single hack in my entire life, let alone in a game like L4D that makes use of my good situational awareness to begin with. Do I really need a wallhack when the Special Infected are so noisy? Do I really need an aimbot on a crowd full of zombies, a smoker that stands still, a Tank the size of a barn, or the hunter that's stationary on top of my teammate? GET REAL!

Let's get one thing clear, I'm 38 with just barely average twitch aiming ability. I know I don't stand up to youngsters in reflexes. However, I have an excellent sense of teamwork and great situational awareness that allows me to perform on a level that can sometimes seem godlike to pubbers who have the IQ of a grape. This also allows me to hold my own against the good players.

So consider the following when you see me fill you full of lead as you land on my teammate...

1) Were you spawned and making noise for several seconds? Then I was probably already aware of your presence and may even already be turning in your direction when you struck.

2) Is my ping higher than 200? If so, you may not even get the update of my spin and fire until the server tells you your dead, making it seem like In insta-aimed. Valve's lag compensation code takes note of what MY screen said when I shot at you, not what YOURS said. That could make it seem like I'm sniping you after you reach cover or even make it seem like I've done a snap 180 and popped your ass.

So there you have it. I zero-in on all the special infected when I hear them, especially Boomers. They pose the greatest threat to my teammates. Your best bet when facing me is to spawn late, strike fast and strike together - otherwise I'll be looking pump you full of lead.

No, I don't hack. I'm just very intune with my surroundings.

Finally - lay off the newbies. I cant' stand little bitches that don't let the new people learn the game. I'll votekick you before I votekick the newbie.
