I originally joined Steam to play Counter-Strike 1.6 Beta when Valve was moving it to a Steam exclusive. Since then my gaming library in steam has grown drastically. If Counter-Strike never became a Steam exclusive product at the release of version 1.6, I would still be playing the stand alone copy like how I had been ever since it was released in 2000.
