Gunman: Reloaded (Formerly known as Gunman: Chronicles Source) is a total conversion Modification of Rewolf Software's futuristic, first person shooter, Gunman Chronicles into Valve Software's Source Engine, aiming to re-create the amazing, unforgetable, Western Sci-fi experience of the original game in Source.
PLOT:
The game takes place an untold amount of time in the distant future. The player is placed into the shoes of Major Archer, a soldier in a galactic military colonial frontier force dubbed 'Gunmen'.
Oneday, a distress signal is recieved from Banzure Prime, a planet housing a scientific research complex. A group of Gunmen, lead by their General are sent in to investigate. They find the facility deserted. While securing the area, a Gunman notices a monster like plant, which soon turns out to be the neck of a massive, worm like, alien creature known as the Xenome Alpha Species.
It soon eagerly consumes an impressive amount of Gunmen alive. The General selflessly attempts to take the creature down with his ship, before being caught in it's jaws. Major Archer orders a retreat, leaving the general, not knowing that the creature didn't have the ability to digest humans. The general, before being swallowed by the beast, witnessess the remainder of the gunmen troops retreating, ettempts to tell them that he is still alive but is swallowed and is last called calling them betrayers.
Five years half passed since the Banzure Prime incident, Major Archer and a team of low-ranking gunmen are sent to an uncharted jungle planet to investigate a strange signal. Several minutes upon arrival to the planet, they are ambushed. The general is back for revenge.
The Gunman: reloaded project was originaly started in 2006 by a French modding studio, but came to a halt due to lack of members and developers. In late 2009, the dead project was spotted on ModDB by Nuclear Mind Studios, and was slowly brought back into developmental stage.
