Its not the worst game i played, but it comes close.
Its the best looking worst game ever.

Story: Evil warden turns prisoners into zombies .... and thats it.
You never fight him, you never learn why he does it, there is no resolution, you kill some zombies and thats it.

Enemies: ... just two. And one, exploding one, shows up from half of the game till the end a few times.
You fight the same zombie over and over again, thers is no enemy variety or difficulty. Shoot its legs and stop, repeat till game is over.

Bosses: Two, one final one, and one who is about as hard as the zombies.

Weapons: A handgun, shotgun and thats it, before final boss you unlock an assault rifle. Most uninspired weapon system in history.

4/10, and 2 of those points of visuals.
Not reccomended, even at 20$ feels like a rip off.

While seeing the game in VR is great, the controls are barely serviceable, everything from walking up and down ladders to even gun handling feels like you are fighting the game, not playing it.
Without immersive weapon handling might as well just play the flat version, i truly dont understand the point of playing such ports, its no better than putting your face 5cm from your monitor.

I just cant recommend it in any way, maybe one day HL1 will see a full VR port thats closer to HL2VR or better, but its not today.

Cool little short free game.
Worth a play through, maybe if its popular a full game will be made.

For its age holds up great.
On the short side, but if you get it at a sale its one of better VR games you can get.
Not perfect though, the platforming is bit gimmicky and edge grab a bit buggy, if it was at lest twice longer it would be a must play for me.

Good sequel.
Systems requirements kinda high, so be wary.

Really good, one of best VR games you can play. Simple, well realized, knows what it is and delivers on its premise.
The time changing lamp gimmick never gets old, its such a cool effect that you will spend a lot of time flashing it at random stuff to see how it reacts. The 3d hologram actor recordings are one of the coolest thing i saw in VR.

Could be longer, expect 6-8 hours assuming you dont get stuck on any puzzles.
Only problem is last puzzle has some luck involved in it, would be fine, if not for how long the animations take, they really needed to speed up the last puzzle animations.

7/10, bit dated in some design aspects but still a good game

Short 4 hour experience.
Would recommend but it just feels way too dated in 2023. The visuals and gameplay really reeks of those early VR games.
Theough its not either of them that aged the worst, its the lack of interaction with the world, as your hands clip through walls and baked lighting resolution is too blurry too see much it really takes you out of it.
Get in on a bigger sale, otherwise Lone Echo which is even older holds up much better, and HL ALyx or Dark Matter 2 is more fun to play.

I wanted to like it, but throwing things around gets really annoying really fast.
Current VR control just dosnt offer enough feedback for weight and velocity to be able to throw things perfectly accurately, so most puzzles are 10x harder than they should be, so you end up repeating the same thing 100 times, failing a throw by 5 cm, getting more and more frustrated, so any enjoyment gets killed by any hard puzzle even if you know how to solve it.
Also Medicine 2 puzzle alone would make me subtract few stars from any rating, the wonky physics arent accurate enough for entire room throws and object interactions.

Other than that it would be a fun VR game even with its mobile Quest2 graphics.
Still, the controls would need a complete redesign for me to recommend this game to anybody, it needs some alternative throwing method to be an enjoyable experience.
