This game is awesome, one of the best tower defense games of recent years, maybe ever. You play an avatar which adds a lot of action style combat using melee, ranged and magic, I find the crossbow to be the best choice. There is also a small RPG aspect with upgrade system. Game is amusing in many ways, story is basic but its the gameplay that makes it a blast (I can't think of a TD game that even has a real story). Would be awesome if there was co-op, hopefully we will see that in future content. Would really like to see modded community content, would add for a lot of creativity. For the price tag I'd give a 8.5/10 just for the fun factor. A negative is that there is no way to bind keys so I used a program called GlovePIE to rebind. if there was co-op, bindable keys and the ability to create mods for the game I would give it a a near perfect score, will just have to wait and see. Either way this is a must buy if you enjoy tower defense and or action game
This game is awesome, one of the best for this year.
A couple tips:
Hacking is a must upgrade, there are tons of stuff to hack that give you lot of XP over time so spending all 5 hacking level upgrades pays for itself plus you get into areas that contain a lot of weapon related stuff and more details about the universe of Deus Ex.
Upgrade the punch through walls augment cause there are quite a few secret areas that contain Praxis points, the upgrade to your augments which is a must skill. I've found 4 so far.
Upgrade the the ability to lift large objects, there are often items and paths hidden under a vending machine or a dumpster. Plus there are areas where there are hackable computers that are in range of a security camera so stacking boxes and vending machines you can break the camera's line of site. This often takes a long time to do, just makes the game longer which I like.
Also stealth non-lethal melee attacks give more XP then just shooting the enemies.
I do not recommend this if you expect it to be a successor to Dungeon Keeper. It looked like this was going to be Dungeon Keeper 3 and I was so excited for that prospect but in the end the game failed to arouse any excitement. The changes they made was a horrible decision, just a total let down, I suggest download the game first to play a few levels and then judge for yourself.
