This game could of been an epic mulitplayer murder detective game, they have a fully customisable outfits, NPC's that you can talk to, sim's style needs, shops, restarunts, all fhe features are there for a great game, in which NONE are used in any of the game types. Its a crime beyond belief, the players and the imersive ship enviroment are never brought together. As a result no one played it when it was released, and no one plays it now.
I't really needs a 2 teir objective system, yes the hunt to kill your quarry, but another objective system that imerses you into the ship and makes & rewards you actually act like a passenger on a ship, instead of treating it as a deathmatch arena.
Outerlight released a 2nd game (BGT) with the exact same issues and subsequently went bust.
Its hard to say I dont like it, considering I've sunk 13 hours in 4 days, its great fun with friends, The Inital 5-6 hours are a blast, building a house, mining materials to craft tables and stuff.
Then the cycle starts, your mining to get better mining equipment, and your getting better mining equipment to mine faster/longer, Once you realise this it becomes hard to convince yourself you should invest more time.
But for one think it's a hell of alot better than minecraft in most areas, bar the technical construction/boats/minecarts etc. Worth a look if you ever had fun with lego.
Quite a fun shooter, focused on the old style, shoot, straff and run tatics, and the modern rareity of healthkits! I dont know what enging this is running on (unreal?), but it looks spectaclar, and captures the gritty cyberpunk atmosphere very well. There is alot of explodables, and I mean alot, every gunfight results in 1/2 the are your in exploding, its insane, but It gets a bit tiresome, and often the cause of you dieing is because you failed to notice a barrel on fire rolling towards you.
Weapons, theres only 2 weapons, but they have modules which convert their fire modes to a whole host of different weapons.
Enemys, have quite good animations on them, but you rarely get to see this with all the explosions, took me about 5 bosses before I notice they start to break up with their health.
Overall, quite fun, deffinatly worth getting <£5
