Ever wanted to be a Dragon, abduct princesses, fight knights, scare kingdoms into submission and hoard your gold? Then this game is right up your alley!
In Hoard, you play as a Dragon in a 3D-slightly topdown view on a table on a gamefield. Litterary. It is a game board. You can play with up to four players or AI computers and it's loads of fun.
Recommended gametime per session is 30-40 minutes, anything above that and the game starts being a chore.
In my opinion, the best Half-Life expansion featuring the more interesting faction apart from the Black Ops. The only thing better is the slightly obscured and somehow rare and unknwon Half-Life: Gunman Chronicles which is argueable the best HL stand-alone expansion ever.
Half-Life: Opposing Force puts you into the shoes of Corporal Shephard (No, not Mass Effect) as you are sent in to deal with whatever bizzare occurances that are happening in Black Mesa an-OHMYGODWHATTHEHELLISTHAT?!
Along the way you will pick up new weapons and traverse the different dimensions once again. And unlike Gordon Freeman, you do not research the shit out of everything in sight this time around - You just shot the shit out of them instead.
The ally system in this one is more refined as well and you get to wear a cool gasmask while wielding a very cute "granade launcher" that eat it's ammo. . . Anyway, yeah I recommend this expansion obviously.
Terraria can best be described like this;
"Like Minecraft BUT. . ."
Terraria bluntly steals and alters Final Fantasy IV Sprite-style animation. It's not really a fun game but it will easily get you hooked up with it's terrible claws and keep you stuck and make you waste hours upon hours playing it. It's a game that draws it's exploration inspriation from the Metroid games itself. Infact, I found that playing this game while listening to Super Metroid soundtrack made it increadible much more immersive.
Underground Jungle = Brinstar Overgrown with Vegitation.
Hell = Norfair Ruins "Lower Norfair" aka Ridley's Hideout.
And so forth.
I do recommend this if you're looking for a simple game that rewards & punishes you for exploration. Rewards with treasures - Punishes with throwing a ton of enemies at you as much as it can.
Oh and one final thing;
The Dungeon entrence just screams "Zelda II - Palace". . .
