Do not buy the strategy guide, it's online only and has been broken for a week now.

A zombie FPS that combines role-based gameplay with waves of monsters. Great game, definitely worth ~$10. Roles include Medic, Sharpshooter, Demolitions, and a few others. Each round typically consists 10 waves with ever-increasing variety of monsters and difficulty, with the last round being a fight against an ultra-powerful boss. Gameplay can get a bit repetitive due to the formulaic nature of the waves, but the levels have great design and are very diverse. Definitely recommend playing with friends, as the singleplayer is virtually non-existent.

Gameplay is similiar and just as great as the original Pirates!, except maybe the Dancing mini-game. With the added features of being able to actually influence economies by escorting or ambushing supply ships, and being able to see ships in real time leaves little reason to play the original.
