E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is a linear RPG with a handful of branching paths. While it can be a bit to take in at first due to its steep learning curve, it is a very enjoyable game. Don't let the lack of polish, minor bugs, or awkward translations put you off of it. For a Source game, the maps are absolutely huge--and with the ability to jump several metres into the air, you have the mobility to explore them to the fullest. The visuals are all very well executed and pleasing to look at. The rough UI is my only real complaint with this game.
If the story is too confusing for you, I'll provide a rundown: You are part of an organization whose primary goal is to rescue space turtles. You travel the galaxy rescuing space turtles. That is all you need to know.
While the classes aren't nearly as clearly defined as they used to be, this game can still be a lot of fun. Give it a try if you're even remotely interested in team-based deathmatch games--it's free, you really have nothing to lose.
