Easily the most addictive and fun game since Space Pirates and Zombies. 9/10

Fantastically nonsensical fun with another hilariously written story. GJ Burch. you did the franchise proud.

If your'e looking for an epic game like the original Deus Ex then you will be let down. This game is however an epic in it's own right. A futuristic tale of espionage and intrigue.

Set 25 yrs before J.C Denton's trenchcoat sneak-stabby ways, your protagonist is Adam Jensen, 10-pack-a-day-voiced-shade-wearing-all-round-cool-mofo.

Most of the story takes place in Detriot where the "augments" from J.C Denton' days are now called implants. The player however has to pay "praxis" points to unlock said enancements, which are gained through XP (thanks console guys). The businesses behind these implants are going to war and Jensen is right in the middle.

Combat and gameplay is in favour of the thoughful non-violent approach. This is mirrorored by a 3rd person cover system which leads to the player being awarded more XP for non-lethal take downs, hacking, travelliing through vents etc on the way to his objectives.

Story, characters and background make this a fantastic game, 9/10

A fantastic console ported action game. Gamepad is a must for this combo bashing 4 horsemen epic. Scripted but brilliant, great characterisation and animation backed up with great voice acting. a good 8-10 hours of gameplay available here. 8.5/10
13 July 2012 @ 6:54pm
Keeps the feeling of the original but with an upgraded graphics engine. While you are funneled down a linear path, you still have options available to get to objectives but not many. Slow motion bullet cam returns and add to that a biology lesson in killing with the xray-o-matic kill screen. Shooting balls off has never been so much fun. Short and sweet with multiplayer fun in short bursts. Best played with a friend. 8.5/10

This is a sort of a hashup of Fallout meets Borderlands, with none of the advantages of either. Missions involve travelling from hubs and going to X to kill Y before returning to Z. Except its as not as free roaming as I would like. The drving is a carbon copy of borderlands. While the characters are also a match for both games, the weapons and surroundings let this game down. Super textures look drab and old even on ultra settings for 25GB youre having a laugh iD.. Mega let down 6/10.
30 June 2012 @ 5:53am
While still atmospheric with some good storylines, it fails to capture the greatness of the original games. Alma's scare appearances instead become more of a "oh it's her again". Still a good 8-10 hour game....and well i suppose it does have Mechs.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR AN MMO!
Lag fest, glitchy, poor comabt, poor animation, poor game. The End.

The eternal war for the galaxy comes to third person action!

Long has it been prophethised this day would come, and it doesn't disappoint. Great story being told from a great chapter in the Ultramarines. Visceral playability with chainsword and bolter in hand when wading through countless Ork and Chaos. Easy to pick up and play even if your'e not a Warhammer 40K fan. Its Gears of War but without the cover, because... well... Space Marines dont need no cowardly cover!

If micro machines had a love child with GTA and they got a butch comic book writer to babysit it, then this is what you would get. Simply brilliant explody fun, which requires a gamepad to make it enjoyable and playable.

An awesome old school 2D shooter which reminds you of all the money you spent on arcade machines back in the day! Just.....one....more....level up.

8 January 2012 @ 5:23pm
All the elements of a great zombie apocalypse scenario here. A fantastic holiday island setting with zombies in bikinis. A bedraggled bunch of four survivors for you to choose as your avatar, some who are funny, others who are annoying. Great weapons to bash, dismember and blow stuff up! A variety of missions to add to the main storyline also helps the game along.

Combat is fluid and fun with melee weapons showing the games strong point is in its character model and physics. When you hit a zombie with a bat you know it and it feels just right. The guns dont feel as fun and aren't accurate or powerful. Weapons are reminiscent of the Borderlands style and you can mod all weapons for hilariously gory results, be it electrifying katanas or explosive guns. Lots to choose from. The game includes levelling and RPG elements which may keep you playing beyond the endgame. Best played in co-op mode for that survival feeling against the horde! Hoodoo mah voodoo Bitch! 8.5/10

There was, once upon a time, back in the earliest days of MMORPG's a game that went by the name of Diaspora. It was a simple yet highly addictive space battle and trading game, made by a very small team of coders. Guilds were formed, alliances made, shit was flung, and all in a small java based applet of 2D glory.

Now we have S.P.A.Z; a single player game of space battles and trading with RPG elements. Very addictive, very funny, very shiny, and above all else, very Indie; made by a team of 2 people. So Diaspora for the modern day but without the multiplayer aspect and yet just as fantastic.

Initially the game will remind you of Tron when hearing the voice over. Then it slowly melds into a Borderlands-esque routine of floating XP messages and RPG levelling elements. A fun mixture of shooter and platformer. Plants Vs Zombies in 3D!

An amazing gem of a game, a quasi-3D adventure hack-n-slash but with some fantastic characters and great musical score and voice acting. It has trappings of both Old Western style and also Japanese.
It's the narrator that really makes the game stand out from the crowd. Instead of narrating in past or future tense, he works in real-time with his gruff voice commenting on the adventures of you "The Kid".
Enough to keep you hooked, any DLC will be welcomed.

Please for the love of Jeeesus don't buy this game IF you suffer from any of the following...

1. Lack of patience
2. Lack of anger management
3. Lack of a catheter
4. Lack of teamplay

The most unforgiving cops and robbers game ever to be made, with insane levels of being bum bashed without even the courtesy to ask for your name and phone number first.

Good ideas poorly implemented in an engine that hasn't aged well make this a fun-at-times game but FFS infuriating. Also the lack of online players make the fanboi elitism factor a problem when trying to join games.

6.5/10
11 December 2011 @ 6:01pm
A follow on of the Third Street Saints hijinks in a new city setting.

More over the top batshit crazyness than you can imagine in a piss covered sandbox.

Kill people with guns? Check
Kill people with cars? Check
Kill people with a giant purple appendages? Check
Kill people by DDT/Tombstone/piledriver/surfing on their backs? Yup

Better graphics, better vehicles and definately better fun 8.5/10
11 December 2011 @ 5:54pm
A fun and visceral Co-op slashathon, playing as a trio of new characters that meet with well known Lord of the Rings™ characters interwoven with a fun parallel side story. Plenty of action, gore and lootz to keep you busy for a good few hours,

However it is too short for the level ceiling, leading you to repeat the story in another difficulty level or play the "Hoard" style wave of enemies side games.

Still a fun linear hack-n-slash combo game with great graphics and meaty weapons.

7.5/10
11 December 2011 @ 5:48pm
The perfect match of free-running hitman stabby in the face mixed with stealthy hijinks makes this one of the best console ported game sequels in many years.

The mechanics, movement and combat have been greatly enhanced from the original game, along with a superior story arc and much more charismatic and likable hero in Ezio. Altair was getting on a bit after all.

Better side missions and the feeling of real cities with real people (allbeit the guards are still thick as shit) make it 1000 times the size and fun of the original game in the franchise. 8/10
11 November 2011 @ 4:44pm
A throwback to the fantastic 80's iron curtain movie Red Dawn, and the developers are not affraid of showing it. Little nuances of nostalgia mixed with linear shooter-em-up makes for a very quick campaign, too quick imo. Multiplayer is just Frontlines : FoW with a different background and map textures. Needs some work for it to have any longevity. 6/10
8 July 2011 @ 5:58pm
A very quirky blend of Diablo and Cannon Fodder, gibbing greatness.
3 July 2011 @ 11:59am
Takes all the best parts from the original game and adds more units, better control options, better AI and a ton of loud shouty 'splodin shit. It still has Gayspy for multiplayer matchmaking though.....fail.
21 March 2011 @ 8:26pm
Strangely addictive puzzle game that includes elements of RPG. You run around in this throwback to the NES interface days and pick up quests, gather allies, make friends. On the way to and from said quests you meet enemies which you must fight, and here is where the puzzle side comes into play; a blend of Bejeweled and Tetris among others. you defeat the enemy by reducing his life to zero. You can then level up and add new items to your own inventory or build up your cities. A great way to spend your lunchtime or worktime or well anytime really, its addictive. 8/10
6 January 2011 @ 5:51pm
I picked up this little gem of a game on Steam early on in 2010 after an article in PC Gamer. A class-based western shoot-em-up. Pick from either a Davy Crockett style sniper, a dual six shooter cowboy or a crazy TNT keg throwing destucto-man. All bring their own style of play and techniques. Crazy third-person multiplayer mayhem that is fun for short bursts. 7/10
6 January 2011 @ 5:44pm
Where do I start, where can anyone start but in the deep end of this maniacal marathon of endless violence and laughter. Pick a class, wear a daft hat, shoot a Scout , rocket jump and gib someone in mid air, lay down a sentry gun and smack a spy with a wrench while he's trying to sap your precious equipment...

So many funny stories, so many good times, it is still the only game that makes me laugh out loud when playing. With the latest addition of Crafting and Micro payment items, its longevity continues and Valve still churn out patches 4 yrs later....brilliant. ooooo Sandvich! 10/10
6 January 2011 @ 5:37pm
Even though it has a II in its name, you don't need to have played the first outing to get to grips with this gritty Mob shooter. Its story is the main driving point here for an otherwise sorta-but-not-really free-roaming sandbox. Amazing graphics and voice acting backs up the plotline here and shines above the otherwise sub standard shooting and sideline missions. The driving aint bad either. Get the new DLC and the game turns into a more-sorta-kinda free roaming GTA-like clone with a new persona in that of Jimmy. Heeeeeey imma walkin' here! 8/10
6 January 2011 @ 5:32pm
A new take on Chris Taylor's classic. While it improves on the original in some ways it also takes away the grand scale of the infinite war. It's still a fantastic game with much faster rounds and a watered down economy but keeping the brain melting micro. Oh and did i mention it has more than double the amount of experimentals from the before? Let the stomping begin! 9/10
6 January 2011 @ 5:25pm
This game is a great way to spend your lunchbreak at work when you get bored with more conventional puzzle games , forogo the touchpad option and plug in a mouse, you will need it. Highly addictive madness. 9/10
3 January 2011 @ 2:35am
It would take a lot to improve on the first outing with Jack Carver and his Hawaiin shirt and free flowing vista backdrops. Ubisoft have managed it allbeit in a more grounded setting of the African outback. The action is still fast-paced and frantic, with more guns, more interactions and tough decisions to make, self-medicating with pocket tools and pills. Still the best looking game around with an amazing display of spreading fire physics. Repetitiveness lets it down from an otherwise enjoyable safari. Oh and theres no daft mutants... 8/10
3 January 2011 @ 2:32am
Genius storytelling from Telltale Games without detracting too much from the original plotline, instead adding a rich and funny vien of imaginative script and voice acting 10/10 and an easy decision to buy it, episodic gaming is back for good. Great Scott!!
3 January 2011 @ 2:22am
A well made remake of an all time in-depth turn based classic. A real brain killer at its worst but a gem of a game at its best.
23 December 2010 @ 7:21pm
A fantastic take on co-op gameplay, gorgeous graphics, great sound and some lovely environments make this an Indie great.
23 December 2010 @ 7:00pm
If you like roadkillin' the walking undead with a vareiety of madmax -like cars in a fantastically rendered engine, then i need not say more. Buy it for mindless blood shed.
23 December 2010 @ 6:57pm
This is a game where you are flung right in at the deep end of the action off the bat. A great game, simple yet brilliant. Well worth the money.
23 December 2010 @ 6:54pm
Blow up all your favourite worms all over again with new weapons and bloody crazy maps, a must buy for short bursts of drunken fun.
27 November 2010 @ 9:53am
A long awaited sequel, gone goes the base building and in comes the Heroes of the Empire with Exp. Micromanagement is a must in this fast-paced level if your chosen ones are to stand a chance.
27 November 2010 @ 9:51am
Oh so many memories from the Amiga days brought back into full 3D glory. Still at its best in sprite form though. Comedy gold at its best!

The only game where you can grab a hooker by her thong and throw her off a motorway bridge into oncoming traffic. ™
27 November 2010 @ 9:33am
A great slow paced zombie survival. All that's missing is the hammer and nails.
27 November 2010 @ 9:31am
Best Indie game of all time™
19 November 2010 @ 4:42pm
Great remake of a great game, storytelling and comedy at its best.
