Brutally difficult, blazingly fast paced and satisfyingly gory. A game where every win feels special, because victory is far from assured. Not for everyone, but fans of fps should give it a go.

This is a pretty good shmup. A bit more shot focused than I'm used to, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Unlike most modern games it actually supports plug and play instead of being oblivious to any controller that isn't 360 format. Kudos for that.

This game will not be nice to you. After the tutorials, which give a basic overview of battlefield tactics, you're ushered toward campaign mode, in which other daimyous will kick you in the groin, stab you in the back, bully you, anklebite you, and dogpile on you. Why play then? Because it's cool. 5 cell phones, 3 popped collars cool. Game play is solid enough, but aesthetics are where the game really shines. While trailers and screenshots do a good job capturing the visuals, you don't really see thigns like the pre-battle speech scenes and the loading screen poetry until you're actually playing.

TLDR: if you appreciate a challenge in your games and/or like samurai stuff this game is for you.
