Lusciously realistic FPS, where atmosphere is absolutely superb. Every weapon feels unique and they work as weapons do in real life; realistically working bolts, changeable machine-gun barrels et cetera.
I like it how you have to play somewhat differently than most shooters as any shot may be a deadly one. You want to think twice before crossing a plain or a field. Attackers must use smoke and cover and most importantly teamwork to advance.
The most popular game mode; Territory is much like BF3's Rush but fear not if you don't like Rush in BF3. As I don't, a rush like game mode works much better in RO2 than in BF3. The area of attack is much larger than in BF3 maps and the territories are much better gameplay-wise than MCOM stations. It makes the game mode much more fun to play, and allows much more tactical freedom than BF3's "get to that single point in map" style rush.
Playing as a squad is not quite as intuitive as BF3 with it's easy squad system, but better what it was before.
