This is a really great Side Scroller. They do some really awesome stuff that you don't see in games like this. If you're a fan of Zombie games give this a try!
I think RAGE really got a raw deal in the reviews. Maybe it was the fact that id took so long to release it, or expectations were too high. Either way, what you have here is a absolutely beautiful game, graphically. It has some flaws to be sure. It can seem unfocused at times (what does crafting really add to an action packed shoot-em-up?). And one of it's strengths, run-and-gun vehicle combat in a gorgeous looking wasteland, is hindered by the fact that the world is actually pretty small. But over all it offers what id games always offer: Bleeding edge graphics with pulse-pounding action. Taking down HUGE monsters (some are 2 or even 10 stories tall!) with a wide variety of weaponry. There is a consistent focus on FUN. Tons of weapons that are just plain cool to play with, and few things feel like a chore. The multiplayer leaves something to be desired, but is passable. For $30 I'd say it's a good buy with plenty of action and some great looking tech.
