It's MW2! You can't go wrong with this game. If it is ever on sale, be sure to grab it if you haven't already. One of the classic fp shooters. This is the last CoD they made before Activision/Infinityward started producing CoD crap.
The campaign isn't decent. It's exciting with things blowing up everywhere and the AC130 mission is always fun in repeat. The co-op missions are a great idea, as introduced for the first time in MW2. They are a nice little break from multiplayer. But to finish, the campaign is still a 1-way track forcing you to go along a predetermined path, clicking storyline triggers via walking over an invisible line. Eh. Playing it once is enough.
Multiplayer is where MW2 shines. Terrific gameplay and quite good graphics for 2008. It being almost 2013, the graphics are still pretty rock solid. Now, there were some balancing issues with CoD 4 and alot of people claim there are with MW2, but they got it as close as you can get. When you start throwing in random perks and things, there are always going to be perks that are superior and inferior to your setup. Regardless, the fun in unending. Tom and I used to play for 10 hours straight into 5am back in the day. Plenty of weapons to choose from and plenty of different playing styles and combinations between weapons and perks. Remember to do some noob tube mortaring! :D
Highly recommended. Buy it - preferably on sale.
A game I highly recommend. The multiplayer is the main attraction to this first person shooter. It provides a fantastic change of gameplay from most FPS's (MW2, BO etc) and is much more enjoyable. The massive size of levels, as well as normal smaller levels, enable a huge variety of strategies, gameplay options, and use of vehicles (helicopter/tanks). Unlike most other games, vehicles are not extremely overpowered and can be defeated with precise teamwork. BC2 has a mutiplayer system that focuses on the use of teamwork. Running around lone wolf spraying and praying can be done (MW2) but won't get you anywhere. All in all, the quality of graphics and sound really bring it in to make this terrific game a a hard itch to scratch. It's similar to cocaine...yea...yea that's it. Cocaine....
Very unique RTS game! Very large scale combat that doesn't necessarily have to last more than an hour or two if 3 or more players play, but can. Great balances and many different strategies. Commander rush or tech up/turtle defensive strategies are all availiable and work well. Supreme Commander relies on an efficient economy and offers a good number of ways to go about by starting it. The first Supreme Commander implemented a very advanced economy system, but the second one is revised, not at complicated, but still let's you be ingenuitive with it. Campaign is new, fresh, and relevant to the game. Highly recommend this game for anyone who wants to bring a new RTS into their gaming life! :)
