So waki my hard drive is nearly dead. I did a BIOS HD diagnostic and my drive failed the test, giving me return code 7. I think there's a bad sector somewhere; it barely works when I'm running windows but I'm copying all of the stuff I put back on it OFF again to my other HD (which luckily has most of my data anyway due to recent reformat/reinstall) using ubanto which it seems fine with.

tl;dr looks like I need a new HD, bawww

Quick Rule Breakdown:
The goal of mahjong is to make a hand consisting of 4 sets (triplets called pons or sequences called chiis) and one pair. There are two exceptions to this rule: Seven pairs and 13 orphans.
However, in order to claim a win a player needs at least one yaku (multiplier). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Mahjong_yaku for a list of yaku.
