The start of a very long journey. Didn't have much resolve for this game till I got the second and wanted to do the first one before I started that one. Was not dissapointed. The universe is very well thought out and just about everything has a codex entry to read or listen to. Game play is much like other games with cover, but being able to command tem members and chain attacks (biotics) is satisfying as well as effective. Music is top notch, seeming like an 80's sci fi electronic score, but enough orchestration to fit every mood and environment. The environments are also wonderful. Futuristic buildings, structures, terminals, and clutter provide a rich landscape to have battle and tales in. All in all a great beginning to an epic journey through three games. Wouldn't miss it.

Saw this before, but finally played it for the Christmas Great Game Pile. Actually a pretty good game. Very action oriented. The RPG elements and raising the difficulty of already completed missions is a good way to get replayability out of it The game reminds a lot of Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn. Which this seems to pull a lot from. Plus you hunt a vampire that doesn't sparkle.

Very fun well built addition to the F.E.A.R. series. The co-op is probably the best part as you can finally team up with a friend and take on Alma and her freaky ways. Playing as Fettel is a lot of fun and helps to keep things fresh in the genre. The variation of levels is a pleasant surprise from the last two installments which felt a bit stale in level construction. Plus the challenges and leveling up help to keep wanting to do more as progression is made in the game. Definately worth an impluse buy.
