I hadn't previously played any elder scrolls games. I saw some videos of them, and while the glitches were funny, I thought the combat looked boring.

After playing Skyrim for 30 hours I can say the combat is anything but. I'm impressed by just how many side quests there are. (Oh wait, there's a storyline too? I guess I should get around to actually doing some missions on that...)

My only real complaints are the menu is horribly console-ish and is frustrating to navigate with a mouse (although there’s probably a mod to fix that); and a lot of the generic characters (soldiers, store owners, etc.) say the same identical lines, except in different voices. I would've thought if they're paying all these extra voice actors, it would've be better to have them say different lines, instead of the same thing.


I bought this in the christmas sale, but after actually playing it, I think I would've got it at full price (if I actually had any money that is).
