This game is not "Free to Play" or "Pay to Win" by any stretch of the imagination, but more or less "Free to Try". While you'll be able to play through an entire third of the game without spending a sigle dollar, along with endless replay on that third I might add: you will need to start acquiring more powerful wepons for the later portions. Acquiring weapons means buying Crystal Energy, which in turn means spending money. After having spent a good $60 throughout my time with this game I can say it is completely worth any money you put into it. All will be paid back to you back with impressivly fun and randomly generated dungeon crawling...

Racing in it's purest form, but with loops and cars that accelerate to 999 kph at times. No collisions with other cars, no focus on realism, just you and the track versus the clock. A game of degrees and milliseconds, it'll keep your finger hovering over the reset button until you are the best driver ever. To this day, TrackMania and every game Nadeo holds in its long legacy are the creme of the e-sports crop and Canyon is no exception...

Let's get the negative out there now, don't play this game for the mechanics. It's a bland, cover-based, third-person shooter. Now, let me try to express in words what only emotions have held me to throughout this game. I guess the one word I can truly use to describe it is... powerful. This is not a game, it is an experience that must be understood and in all truth cannot be conveyed via text. For all those that say games are a young medium and are not able to provide depth; they're wrong. This is a sign that gaming has aged; aged well I might add.
