This is a game play group for the Source mod EXTERMINATUS - RIVAL SPECIES 2. It was founded for the sole purpose of gathering players together to play.
Due to the lack of players we experience at the moment, this group serves rather as a mean to find people to play with, arrange games, manage teams etc.

The reason I recommend this one over The First Encounter, the Classic version, Serious Sam II, and Serious Sam 3: BFE is because it is the peak of Serious Sam goodness today. It has more of everything to it than The First Encounter and Classic Second Encounter, is not cartoony and cheesy like Serious Sam II, and will not upset like Serious Sam 3 did for some. It is the highest rated Serious Sam installment (Classic version) redone in with better visuals and physics, along with more features.
You get 14 different weapons, powerups, and hordes of enemies. This may be the last FPS franchise that relies on run and gun action rather than the modern tactical playstyle of shooters today.
Also, it did what Duke Nukem Forever could not do: be a good game based on the classic FPS style.
What you get when you cross Star Wars with Battlefield-esque gameplay.
Hails from Pandemic Studios, same people that made the Mercenaries and Destroy All Humans! games.
Because of the popularity of shooter games these days and the popularity of Star Wars since the release of Episode III, Battlefront II became one of the best-selling Star Wars games, beating Pandemic's previous Battlefront.
Personally, I prefer the XBox version due to the controls and better online community but the PC version looks better with a high-end computer and can be modded. Registering with GameSpy is required though in order to play online. The single player story is good, along with the array of planets to play on and space battles in Instant Action mode. But multiplayer is key, take that away and the game is not worth its price.
A vast improvment from the first game: AI, graphics, variety of everything from the first game and then some. Star Wars+shooter+large-scale battles+explosions = this game.
If you like Star Wars and role-playing games, this is a must-play.
This is from the same people that made the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series: BioWare. They recently are known for the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games.
Came out in 2003 so graphics are dated but was Game of the Year, rivaling Halo on the XBox.
The gameplay is enjoyable. Much planet traveling, with quests abound. Do not expect to start out the game already as a Jedi nor fight any epic-scale battles early on. Patience, my friend. Given the nature of Star Wars and most RPGs these days, you can follow the Light Side (Good) or Dark Side (Evil) Path, depending on your choices and actions in the game. There is a good story, what you would expect from Star Wars a la The Empire Strikes Back.
Not only is it an excellent sci-fi RPG that predates BioWares more recent works, but it plays like a large interactive movie (that you control) due to its engaging plot and characters.
